PTFE vs PFA: Key Differences Explained

Both PTFE and PFA are important fluoropolymers, but many people are confused about choosing between them.

Processing Methods
PTFE has very high viscosity and cannot be melt-extruded — only compression molding or paste extrusion, then sintering. PFA can be formed through compression molding, extrusion, injection molding, and transfer molding.
Flexibility
PTFE tubes are relatively hard and difficult to bend, while PFA offers excellent flexibility with transparent, easily bendable tubes.
Price
PFA material is three times or more expensive than PTFE.
